There will be 4 classes in total
Music - Ballet - Drama - Modern Stage/Tap.
Classes will start at 10.30 and rotate between 3/4 hours depending on what classes you wish to participate in and what level of experience you are at.
Classes are £4.00 per hour or £13.00 for all 4 classes
Enrolment at 11.30am Tomorrow (Sat 20th Jan)

Young Variety At Heart Concert

The ever-busy Apollo Players will be featured in a high profile concert - YOUNG VARIETY AT HEART. The show will take place at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on the 25th March 2007. The show will feature Soloists, Choirs, and Guest Artistes from Stage / Screen and Television. The show will be directed by John Carlyle and will include two items featuring THE APOLLO PLAYERS. The Variety Club of Scotland are producing the event to raise funds for a new Sunshine coach for children in Scotland. Watch the website for further details.
IMPORTANT NOTICE - Les Miz Forum

All previous cast members who were in Les Miserables School Edition at East Kilbride in July, and who would like to participate in the production at the Pavilion Theatre in February 2007, are asked to attend a special Les Miz Forum. This will take place on Sunday 12 November at 2pm at our Rehearsal Studio at 71 Oxford Street. The purpose of the Forum is to discuss cast availability and commitment required. Parents of young people involved are also invited to attend if they wish, and the meeting is expected to last approximately one hour. There will be an opportunity to ask any questions related to this production.

This session is now completed and TAPS will be closed for the rest of this year. TAPS will be revamped and will re-open in early January 2007 - so keep watching the website for opening details. In the meantime please keep using the Message Board to keep in touch.

Young members of the Apollo Players now have their own website! This is now up and running, and its success depends on YOU to contribute news items and send messages to the TAPS Message Board. So keep checking the website for TAPS news and other Apollo information affecting young members. Have fun!
TAPS Class and Fees Information

Enrolment for the following classes will be on Saturday 20th 2007 from 11.30am
Theatre group will commence Saturday 27th January 10:30am
Classes and Fees:
Modern Stage & Tap £4.00 per class
Drama £4.00 per class
Ballet £4.00 per class
Vocal training/singing lessons £4.00 per class
If all 4 classes are enrolled fees will be £13.00 per week
Exams and Review once a year
Pre-school classes in rhythm, co-ordination, mime, music appreciation and movement will be held on Wednesday Mornings. Enrolment also on the 20th.
3-4 year olds 10.15 – 11.00 am 5-6 year olds 11.00 - 11.45 am
Fees per class per child £2.50

It was good to see new members at the enrolment day on Saturday. If you missed out, don't worry, there is second chance to enrol with TAPS this Saturday 28 January at 1.00pm. Younger members with no stage experience are particularly welcome.

Ballet: 11.15 - 12 00pm
Lunch: 12.00 - 12.25pm
Drama: 12.30 - 1.30pm
Singing: 1.30 - 2.30pm

100 Children Sought for Young Variety Concert

We are looking for 100 boys and girls aged between 5-12 years to perform an Oliver! number in the Young Variety at Heart Concert in the Royal Concert Hall on Sunday 25 March. This might appeal to children previously involved in any of our productions of Oliver!, but others are also welcome to come along. Please attend an Audition/ Rehearsal on Sunday 4 March 2007 at 2pm at our Rehearsal Studio at 71 Oxford Street. Please note there will be a one-off all inclusive Audition/Membership fee of £5 to be paid on the day. This will cover all rehearsals and the performance. There is no need to bring an audition song, as a musical piece will be taught on the day. (Cast of Les Mis will also be included in the concert and will be given separate information).
